Carbon Reduction Plan Methodology 2025

Introduction

The carbon footprint of the organization has been calculated for the UK entity only and the operations within the UK boundary. Jaeger Medical UK Ltd operates as the UK entity associated with Jaeger Medical’s global respiratory diagnostics business, which focuses on pulmonary function testing and related respiratory diagnostic equipment.

Scope 1

Direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by the organization.

(For example, emissions from combustion in owned or controlled boilers, furnaces, vehicles etc. Emissions from chemical production in owned or controlled process equipment).

Gas

Data from:

• No emissions associate with Scope 1

Scope 2

Indirect emissions from the consumption of purchased electricity, heat, or steam.

Electricity

Data from:

• No emissions associate with Scope 2

Scope 3

Indirect emissions from activities that are not owned or controlled by the organization.

Business Travel

Transportation of employees for business-related activities during the reporting year (in vehicles not owned or operated by the reporting company) 

Emissions from business travelers staying in hotels.

Upstream Transportation and Distribution

Transportation and distribution of products purchased in the reporting year, between a company’s tier 1 suppliers and its own operations in vehicles not owned or operated by the reporting company (including multi-modal shipping where multiple carriers are involved in the delivery of a product, but excluding fuel and energy products)

Third-party transportation and distribution services purchased by the reporting company in the reporting year (either directly or through an intermediary), including inbound logistics, outbound logistics (e.g., of sold products), and third-party transportation and distribution between a company’s own facilities. (Outbound logistics services purchased by the reporting company are categorized as upstream because they are a purchased service).

Downstream Transportation and Distribution

Transportation and distribution of sold products in vehicles and facilities not owned or controlled by the reporting company. Includes emissions from retail and storage.

Waste

Emissions from third-party disposal and treatment of waste generated in the reporting company's owned or controlled operations in the reporting year. This category includes emissions from disposal of both solid waste and wastewater.

Employee Commuting

Emissions from the transportation of employees between their homes and their worksites.  

An average of 40 hours/48 working weeks per year was used for the working from home data

Data from:

• There are no employee commuting emissions, as all staff work from home

Also included in this category is ‘working from home’ for completeness.
